Alicia Estrada is a Latinx Character Designer/ Concept Artist/ Illustrator from Los Angeles, CA. Alicia received a B.A. in Art with a focus in Animation from California State University, Northridge (CSUN). Since 2019, Alicia has been commissioned to work on pitch projects as a Character Designer and helped bring many animated projects to life. She has also done Freelance work as a Jr. Designer for Spin Master, Inc. on Nick Jr.'s ABBY HATCHER, DreamWorks “Gabby’s Dollhouse” and on other special projects. Alicia has also worked for Quantum Mechanix, a pop-culture consumer products company where she worked in house as a Concept Artist designing toy collectibles and plush for DC, Marvel, WB and Sony Pictures Animation to name a few.
Alicia is a proud member of Latinx in Animation (LXiA) and Women in Animation (WIA). She was the part of the “LXiA: Member Spotlight Series” and was the featured member for Jan. 2020. In the summer of that same year, Alicia was also recognized and interviewed for “Voyage LA” magazine. In Sept. 2020, she was chosen to be part of Concept Art and Visual Development mentor group with WIA where she had weekly virtual meetings with her mentor and participated in special virtual networking coffee chats. It was a great learning experience for her and broadened her connections with recruiters and artists alike. |
